• Postpartum Coverage: As of 2023, Mississippi extended postpartum Medicaid to cover 12 months after birth, ensuring new mothers can access follow-up care, mental health services, and family planning support.
  
• Children’s Health Coverage: Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide free or low-cost health insurance to eligible children. Coverage includes regular checkups, immunizations, vision and dental care, prescriptions, and emergency services.
